Correspondence by veterans of the 8th Vermont Infantry Regiment, mainly sending regrets about missing regimental reunions. Some letters also contain information about the death of comrades. The collection also contains biographical sketches of seven soldiers: Samuel H. Currier, Chester M. Ferrin, Herbert E. Hill, Hiram E. Perkins, Oliver E. Ross, Stephen Thomas, and James Welch. Also included is a memoriam for Colonel John B. Mead.
